To set a background for your glog select 'wall' from the menu pane on the left, 'my pictures,' and 'upload'
It works best if you use an image with portrait orientation (as opposed to landscape)
When your picture loads, a thumbnail image of it will appear below the 'upload' icon (this may take a while)
Click on the thumbnail of your image, then select the 'stretch & fill' radio button from the right, then click on the pink 'use it'
Now you can start adding items to your glog!
To add clipart from glogster, click on 'graphics' in the black menu panel and browse until you find an image you like
To add the image either click the pink 'use it' button or drag and drop the thumbnail of the image onto the background
Once you've inserted your image you can close the decoration window by clicking on the pink x in the top right corner
To interact with an object, first click on it, then you can move it by dragging and dropping it to the desired location or resize the object using the arrows at the corners.
You can also rotate an object by clicking on the circular arrows in the middle of the lines of the rectangle surrounding your object
You can move an object in front of or behind another by clicking on the appropriate icon in the object's menu bar
You can create a duplicate image by clicking the 'clone' icon in the object's menu bar
You can cancel all the changes that you've made to an object, restoring it to the way it looked when first added, by clicking the 'cancel changes' icon on the object's menu bar
To insert text, click on 'text' in the menu panel on the left, browse for the style you wish to add, then select the icon for the style and click 'use it' (or drag and drop)
You can interact with text in all the same ways that I previously described about making changes to objects
In addition, you can edit text by clicking on the 'edit' icon in the object's menu bar
You can delete text and type in new text in this mode
You can change the font, color, and alignment of your text by clicking on the 'Ab1' icon on the edit menu bar
If you want to save a color to use for text later click the 'add' button to add it to the custom color bar. This bar will remember colors that you save there for each glog individually. It will save the colors even if you save and exit your glog and come back to it later, which makes it handy if you want all the text on your glog to be in the same few colors.
The pink square with a double-headed arrow that appears when you are editing text allows you to re-size the selection box to fit your text so that it is easier to manipulate. Once you exit edit by clicking the pink 'ok' button the selection box around the text will once again be manipulable by the rotate and resize arrows.
Make sure you re-size the selection box around your text after changing your font to prevent having to re-size again because different fonts will take up different amounts of space.
To add a link to text, while in the edit mode click on the link icon, paste the url of the site you wish to link to, and click apply
To add an image, select 'image' from the menu pane on the left and 'upload'
Navigate to an image on your computer and click 'select'

Browse through the frames to find the one you want; when you click on a frame icon a preview of how the image will look with the frame will appear to the right.
When you have found a fame you like click the pink 'use it' button to add the image with a frame to your glog
To add a video, select 'video' from the menu panel
You have the option to upload a video from your computer, search school tube for videos to add, or add a video from a link
To add a video from a link click on 'link' and paste the url to the video you wish to add
Once the video has loaded, a thumbnail icon of it will appear beneath the 'upload' icon
You may either insert the video directly by clicking 'use it' or select a player to frame the video
To select a player click on the 'Players' tab, browse the selection until you find one that you like, and click on it.
A preview of the video with the player will appear on the right. When you are satisfied with your selection click 'use it'
Sometimes when you are working on your glog you will find that the menu panel is too high up or too low down so that you cannot see it in the area that you are working on
If this happens, first make sure that you do not have any objects selected (you can do this by clicking on the background)
Move your mouse to the far left side of the glog, and a white bar will appear
click on the area of the bar that you want the menu panel to move to and the magnet tool will move the panel to that area
If the menu panel is blocking something that you wish to see and you want to minimize it, you can do so by clicking on the pink arrow at the left of the panel
To make the panel appear again, click on the pink arrow on the left of the glog; it should be in the area where you last left it
Explore the tools and have fun! When you are finished, click 'save and publish' from the bottom of the screen
