  • Click the button 'Get Skype for Mac OS X'

  • Click on the 'Download Now' button

  • Skype will start to download onto your computer. This may take a while.

  • When it finishes downloading, a screen will pop up.
  • Click on the Skype icon then drag and drop it to the icon for the applications folder.

  • Skype is now downloaded on your computer.
  • To access Skype, open a finder folder, click on applications, then on 'Skype'

  • If you have an account, log in.
  • If you do not have an account, create one by filling out the form.

  • When you log in, your contact list will appear. Contacts who are also logged in will have a green icon next to their name.
  • Click on the contact's name to access call options

  • Click on the green phone icon to call a contact.

  • A screen will appear informing you of your call's status.
  • Once the call is accepted, the screen will remain. Click on the icons to add a video feed or hang up.

  • This is what it will look like if someone calls you.
  • Click on the green 'Answer' button to accept the call.

  • To add a contact, select 'Contacts' from the Skype menu, then 'Add a Contact'

  • You can look up a contact by full name, skype screen name, or e-mail address

  • There are people on Skype from all over the world, so there may be many people with the same name!
  • Once you have found the person you would like to add to your contact list, click 'Add Contact' and a contact request will be sent.
